JOHN LEWIS CHOOSES BLE TO PROTECT LANDMARK CARDIFF STORE

On 21 August Wates Retail handed over the keys of the new John Lewis Department store in Cardiff.

As the first John Lewis store ever to be built in Wales, this new 280,000 square foot store, their largest outside of London, is the flagship of the new St David’s Shopping Centre and with its striking design is a landmark building on The Hayes.

BLE’s partnership programme with John Lewis meant that we were called upon by Wates Retail to provide a comprehensive solution to the smoke and fire protection within the store. Downloadable full PDF

 

 

BLE CURTAINS SAFEGUARD JLP BLUEWATER

The introduction of a 16,500 square foot Waitrose Food Hall to the basement of the John Lewis anchor store in Bluewater, Kent necessitated a complete redesign of the existing fire and smoke strategy.

As JLP’s preferred partner for smoke and fire control, BLE along with Wates Retail were asked to undertake these works and complete them without hindering the day to day trading and whilst fulfilling a demanding programme to tight deadlines. Downloadable full PDF
