Fire & Smoke Control Systems

BLE Smoke & Fire Curtains are, of course, designed to deploy under gravity, that is they gravity fail safe i.e. the curtains default state is deployed.

The default state employed by BLE Fire and Smoke Control Systems ensure that under a loss of power and/or depletion of batteries the curtain deploys. The system, of course, also works in conjunction with live signals from the fire alarm if it is operational.

BLE Fire and Smoke Control Systems have options that provide added functionality to the operation of the curtains.

BLE Fire and Smoke Control Systems have a Two Stage Descent option available, which enables our curtains to deploy to a predetermined height for a predetermined amount of time. This reduces panic amongst personnel and provides an active deepening of the smoke layer. The curtain will then deploy to its required position.

The Emergency Retract control panel provides the facility for a fully deployed curtain to be momentarily retracted via a push button to facilitate the evacuation of any trapped personnel. It is also a useful function to ease the entry of any attending Fire Department officers.

Audio Visual Units can be installed to provide additional warning to personnel that the curtain is about to deploy. This can help to reduce the impact of deployment on the public.
